Join Ocean State Kids (OSK*) for “Meet Greet Play Learn Grow” – a fun and engaging morning hosted at the beautiful Sakonnet Greenway Villa. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy a refreshing poolside experience, and share conversations about outdoor learning, nature play, and alternative education with the OSK Community. THE JOYS OF THE MORNING INCLUDE: Meet and Greet: Get to know our dedicated team leaders and existing members who are passionate about outdoor learning + nature play. Play: Families will be able to enjoy a morning swim in the heated pool. Liability waiver must be signed. There will be additional activities for any non-swimmers. Learn: Learn more about the OSK mission and our vision for expanding our outdoor learning and nature play programs. Grow: All proceeds from this event will directly support the writing & development of an extensive outdoor learning curriculum for children. This is a fundraising event, and for just $10 per person (children under 2 are free), you will have the opportunity to meet our passionate community of families, splash with your children in the pool, tour the beautiful Sakonnet Greenway Villa, and extend support to OSK. In return, we will extend our commitment to protecting childhood at all costs — meeting children’s needs without imposing rules, assessments, or societal pressures. We aim to equip parents with the tools and resources to consciously connect with their families, and lastly, we like to provide a space for a child’s natural sense of wonder and curiosity to flourish. Kids learn best when they have the freedom to pursue their interests in a supportive environment and OSK believes that nature is the best classroom. By nurturing creativity & curiosity in the great outdoors, we are igniting their desire to understand the world around them and raising all-around awesome humans.
