(Feel free to say “Hi Kat” out loud—I’ll pretend I heard it.)

In all seriousness(ish)… hello!
I’ve been playing with cameras since high school, where I dreamed of becoming a photojournalist. While that path took a few twists and turns, I’m confident younger me would be proud of the photography business I’ve built today.

Over the years, I’ve dabbled in just about every style of photography, but I always come back to capturing people in their most natural, authentic moments. My style is primarily candid, with a splash of editorial flair depending on the shoot.

Alongside running Created Coastal Photography with my husband, I’m also a proud mama to the best little buddy a girl could ask for—and a fur mama to two very lovable pups. When I’m not behind the lens or in full-on mom mode (although let’s be honest, those roles often blend together), you’ll find me at live music shows, thrifting, exploring local gems, practicing yoga, playing with interior design, or just meeting cool people and making connections.
