Let’s experiment with shape and movement! Children will gather round rocks and form dirt balls to discover what rolls best down mini hills and ramps, exploring gravity and textures along the way.

2 YEARS OLD

ENCOURAGEMENTS
Encourage your child to gather round rocks and roll them down small hills.
Help them notice the differences in how rocks and dirt balls roll.

3 YEARS OLD

ENCOURAGEMENTS
Invite your child to experiment with different-sized rocks to see how they roll.
Ask them to guess which item will roll the furthest.

Encourage your child to build small ramps using sticks and dirt.
