The Teeny Tiny Trailblazers visited the Bird Haven Ranch in Portsmouth, Rhode Island for a bunny snuggle experience with dozens of velvet soft rabbits and spent the morning outside on the farm.

Our recent visit to Bird Haven Ranch in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, was a delightful experience for Ocean State Kids! The children had the unique opportunity to snuggle gentle rabbits, interact with the majestic horses, and observe the playful goats, all while spending the day immersed in farm life. The visit to Bird Haven allowed our youngest learners to connect with animals in a safe, supportive environment, fostering empathy, curiosity, and comfort around new experiences. Being outdoors, surrounded by nature, and engaging with these friendly farm animals offered a hands-on learning experience that cannot be replicated in traditional settings. We believe these early connections to nature help children develop a sense of respect for animals and the natural world.
