It's been really special to watch new group leader, Audra Westcott come alive while planning the first weeks of Moss + Moon Club. You can feel how much heart she’s putting into it — the kind of excitement that feels almost childlike in the best possible way.

Every time we talk about what she’s preparing, it’s not just about activities… it’s about creating moments where families can slow down, where children can be fully themselves, and where parents get to rediscover a little bit of that magic too.

I think sometimes we forget how little it actually takes to bring that feeling back. A pile of dirt. A paintbrush. A walk through the woods. A reason to look a little closer. When we make space for intentional play and creativity, it has this quiet way of re-lighting parts of us that may have gone a little dim in the rush of adulthood.

That’s what this Spring with Moss + Moon Club feels like to me. It's permission — to get a little messy, to act silly, to follow your curiosity again. Because the truth is, the moment we reach back toward childhood — no matter how old we are — something very real stirs in all of us. And that’s exactly the feeling Audra is building here.

STARTING APRIL 2026

Join Moss + Moon Club for a weekly outdoor gathering for young children and their caregivers who believe childhood belongs outside. Rooted in the natural landscapes of the North Smithfield area, this group creates space for little ones to explore fields, forests, and open sky in a rhythm that feels both intentional and free.

Each week unfolds with gentle structure and child-led discovery. Through sensory-rich invitations, seasonal projects, storytelling, movement, and unhurried exploration, children are encouraged to build confidence, independence, and a deep sense of belonging in the natural world. 

Rather than replicating a classroom outdoors, the Moss + Moon Club embraces curiosity as the curriculum — allowing play, observation, and wonder to guide the learning process.

This group is equally about community. Caregivers are active participants, strengthening their connection with their children while building meaningful relationships with other families - nurturing not only early development, but also the village that surrounds it.
