Join us for our First Annual Holiday Toy Swap, a community-centered event designed to help families refresh their toy collections sustainably—while giving back during the season of generosity. Enjoy a festive atmosphere complete with baked goods for sale, including holiday cookie assortments, sourdough sweets, and Grandma’s artisan baked treats that you won’t want to miss. (The event is a suggested donation of $10, you can purchase your ticket here.)

⏰ Times: Morning Swap: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Bedtime Swap: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (A quick power hour after bedtime for last-minute swaps!)

📍 Location: CFP Arts, Wellness & Community Center 933 Anthony Rd., Portsmouth, RI

HOW IT WORKS

Make a suggested donation of $10 online. PURCHASE TICKET HERE
Collect any gently used toys, books, unused craft or educational supplies, or winter gear (only).
Bring whatever items you’d like to swap or donate.
Take home whatever you’d like—no limit.
No requirements or strings attached:
- You do not need to bring something in order to take something.
- You do not need to take something if all you want to do is donate.

CAN'T ATTEND BUT WANT TO DONATE?

If you’d like to donate items but cannot make the event, please drop off donations at the Ocean State Kids office on 121 Linden Lane (Portsmouth) between December 8th and December 9th (before 12:00 PM on the 9th).

REMAINING ITEMS WILL BE DONATED TO LUCY'S HEARTH

All remaining items will be donated to Lucy’s Hearth, an organization dedicated to supporting children and families experiencing homelessness due to economic hardship, family instability, eviction, and the severe shortage of safe, affordable housing.

WHY THIS MATTERS TO US

All Toy Swap proceeds support the Ocean State Kids mission to expand real outdoor classrooms and outdoor early learning opportunities across Rhode Island.

QUALITY CONTROL GUIDELINES

To ensure a wonderful experience for all families:

Please make sure toys are in good or fair condition.
All toys must be complete sets (no missing pieces).
Craft and educational materials should be unused or lightly used with plenty of life left.
Winter gear should be in clean, durable, ready-to-wear condition, suitable for at least one more season of outdoor use.
